Oyster Reefs in China's Bohai Bay Show Recovery by 2026
A study published in Frontiers in Marine Science reports that oyster reefs in China's Bohai Bay have shown significant recovery from 2022 to 2026. By March 2026, artificial reefs supported an average of 286 oysters per square metre, and suspended particles in the water decreased by about 62%. The study also noted an increase in seabed animals, though further monitoring is needed to confirm long-term success.
