Over 1 Lakh Delhi Households Register for Free Rooftop Solar

More than one lakh households in Delhi have registered for free rooftop solar panel installations under a government scheme. The Delhi government plans to cover 2.3 lakh households in the first phase on a first-come, first-served basis. Eligible households consuming up to 400 units monthly can install up to 3kW solar systems at no upfront cost, funded by central and state subsidies of up to ₹1.6 lakh.
