Over 1.05 Lakh Bound Over Ahead of A.P. Local Body Polls

Ahead of local body elections in Andhra Pradesh, 1,05,767 persons were bound over and 2,726 pending non-bailable warrants executed to ensure peaceful polls, said DGP Harish Kumar Gupta. Police seized cash, liquor, illicit liquor, and 495 kg of ganja. Between October 15-29, 261 election-related cases led to 107 arrests. Tirupati reported the highest cases. Security was arranged at 4,372 locations.
