Oregon Restores 6.6 Miles of Meacham Creek for Salmon
Since 2006, the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation have restored 6.6 miles of Meacham Creek floodplain in Oregon. The project involved removing 25 levees and adding 3,700 large wood pieces to reconnect the river with native fish habitats, supporting salmon restoration efforts.
