Opposition Seeks Meeting with President Over SIR, Murmu Forwards Brittas’ Complaint

The Opposition has requested a meeting with President Droupadi Murmu to discuss allegations of mass disenfranchisement and to demand the removal of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. CPI(M) Rajya Sabha member John Brittas revealed that the President forwarded his letter on similar concerns to the legislative department for action. TMC’s Derek O’Brien confirmed the meeting request and said top INDIA bloc leaders and opposition leaders will meet the President.
