OPEC Lowers India's 2026 Oil Demand Growth Forecast to 40,000 b/d

OPEC has reduced its forecast for India's oil demand growth in 2026 to 40,000 barrels per day, down from 60,000 b/d in September. India's total oil demand is expected to reach 5.7 million b/d in 2026. Globally, OPEC cut 2026 oil demand growth to 0.2 million b/d but raised the 2027 forecast to 2.6 million b/d. Transportation fuels will drive India's demand growth.
