One Indian Seafarer Killed, 13 Rescued After MSV Al Jusufi Hit Off Oman

An Indian seafarer, Gandhar Nahim Ajij from Gujarat, died after the Indian-flagged motor sailing vessel MSV Al Jusufi was struck by an unidentified aerial object off the coast of Oman on November 2. The vessel had 14 Indian crew members; 13 were safely rescued by the Omani Coast Guard. The Indian Ministry and Embassy are coordinating assistance and repatriation for survivors and the deceased's remains.
