One Child Dies, 269 Treated for Burn Injuries in Tamil Nadu During Deepavali

During Deepavali in Tamil Nadu, one child under 15 died from burn injuries, while 269 people received treatment for firecracker-related burns. The state’s 108 emergency network handled 16,079 calls in 24 hours, including 98 burn injury cases. Government hospitals admitted 110 burn patients, mostly men and children under 15. No adult burn fatalities were reported.
