Odisha Woman Reunited with Family After 35 Years via Odia Tattoo

A 70-year-old woman from Odisha was reunited with her family after 35 years thanks to an Odia script tattoo on her hand. Found in a Himachal Pradesh old age home, Promila Malik was identified through the tattoo and brought back to her hometown in Kendrapara district on October 4. Her son said she had lost contact after leaving her marital and parental homes decades ago. Sadly, she could not meet her husband who passed away six months earlier. The reunion was facilitated by Himachal's 'Mission Apnontak' initiative.
