Odisha HC stays Hockey India elections, halts notice to state unit

The Odisha High Court has stayed the Hockey India elections scheduled for December 5 and also put an interim stay on the showcause notice issued to Hockey Odisha. The notice proposed downgrading Hockey Odisha from permanent to associate member. Justice RK Patnaik passed the interim order on a petition challenging Hockey India's October 6 executive meeting and the October 7 notice. Final hearing is set for December 9.
