NPPA Caps Trade Margins on 137 Anti-Cancer Drugs at 30%
The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) has capped trade margins on 137 anti-cancer drugs at 30% of the Maximum Retail Price (MRP), effective from 9 November 2026. Previously, markups on these drugs were reported to be as high as 700%. Hospital chains may experience reduced margins. The Supreme Court described this regulation as the “tip of the iceberg.”
