North Korea Linked to $6.3 Billion Binance Crypto Theft

US blockchain analysis firm TRM Labs reported that North Korean hackers were responsible for a $6.3 billion theft from cryptocurrency exchange Binance. The attacker moved approximately $6.36 billion across ten blockchains, mostly within 20 minutes. TRM Labs attributed the attack to TraderTraitor, North Korea's elite hacking unit, with high confidence based on strong on- and off-chain intelligence.
