The National Medical Commission (NMC) plans major changes to postgraduate medical admissions in India starting 2027. It proposes replacing the percentile-based NEET-PG and NEET-SS qualifying system with a rank-only system. Other reforms include more digital counselling, reduced fees for non-clinical courses, stipend reviews, and biometric verification to prevent seat blocking. These follow a 12-member expert committee's recommendations after Supreme Court intervention.
