Nine More Taluks Declared Drought-Hit in Karnataka, Total 226

Karnataka added nine more taluks to its drought-affected list, raising the total to 226 out of 240 taluks. Newly affected areas include Sakleshpur, Khanapur, Hosanagara, Sagara, Puttur, Moodbidri, Mulki, Joida, and Dandeli. Deputy CM G Parameshwara said the government is preparing a final memorandum on drought losses, expected within a week, to calculate relief under NDRF guidelines.
