In south Brooklyn, New Yorkers lined up for hours at a city-organized open-air market to buy discarded subway memorabilia, including signs and seats. Each shopper had 45 minutes to browse. Items like a Grand Central station sign sold for around $500 to over $1,000, while iconic orange subway seats cost about $900 each. Filmmaker Spike Lee was also spotted at the event.
