New Toll Rules on National Highways from November 1, 2026

From November 1, 2026, new toll rules will be implemented on national highways. The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways announced discounted annual toll passes for eligible local residents' private vehicles. Passes will cost ₹1,500 for those living outside municipal limits and ₹3,000 for those within. Eligibility conditions and toll plaza rules apply, and passes may not be available if alternative service roads or special toll arrangements exist.

Cyclone Arnab to Hit Andhra Pradesh and Yanam by October 28

Cyclone Arnab has intensified into a very severe cyclonic storm over the west-central Bay of Bengal. It is expected to move northwest and cross the Andhra Pradesh and Yanam coasts between Bapatla and Visakhapatnam by the forenoon of October 28. Heavy rainfall is forecast for coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and East Uttar Pradesh between October 27 and 29. South Coast Railway cancelled 53 trains on October 27-28, and schools in Andaman and Nicobar were closed on October 27 as a precaution.

RSS to Hold Highest Decision-Making Body Meeting Every Three Years
