New Extinct Crocodile Species Found in Sphinx Quarry Rocks
A new species of extinct crocodile has been discovered from fossils found in the ancient rocks used to build Egypt's Great Sphinx near Cairo. This long-snouted crocodile species lived long before the Sphinx became a monument, and the fossil shows a unique feature of a missing snout tip, revealing new insights into prehistoric fauna in the region.
