New Cyclone Likely to Hit Andhra Pradesh Coast by November 2

A low-pressure area over the southeast Bay of Bengal is expected to intensify into a cyclonic storm by November 1, according to the Indian Meteorological Department. The storm is forecast to move west-northwest and reach the west-central Bay of Bengal near Andhra Pradesh's coast by the evening of November 2. This follows Cyclone Arnab, which caused ₹4,600 crore in losses and killed 10 people in Andhra Pradesh and Odisha.
