Neuropathy and Low Muscle Mass Increase Fall Risk in Diabetes
Research shows that neuropathy and low muscle mass are linked to a higher risk of falls among people with diabetes. Additionally, type 2 diabetes is associated with low bone turnover and increased fractures, a phenomenon known as the osteoclast paradox. These findings highlight the need for targeted interventions to reduce fall-related injuries in diabetic patients.
