Netanyahu Bloc Wins 54 Seats, Shekel Weakens After Israel Election
Israel's election results show Prime Minister Netanyahu's right-wing bloc winning 54 seats, while the opposition led by Gadi Eisenkot is projected to get 47 seats. Neither bloc has a parliamentary majority. Following the surprising results, the shekel weakened significantly and the Tel Aviv stock index declined. Analysts foresee difficulties in forming a stable government.
