Net GST Collections Rise 25.6% to ₹2.03 Trillion in October

Net goods and services tax (GST) collections for central and state governments rose 25.6% year-on-year to ₹2.03 trillion in October, driven by a sharp increase in import tax revenue. This marks the fastest growth in the current financial year (FY27), according to provisional data from the finance ministry. Gross GST collections also grew 22.9% to ₹2.31 trillion, the second-highest monthly total this year.
