Net Direct Tax Collection Rises 13% to ₹13.38 Trillion by October 14

Net direct tax collection increased by 13.21% to approximately ₹13.38 trillion from April 1 to October 14, driven mainly by a 20.58% rise in corporate tax to over ₹5.99 trillion. Non-corporate tax grew 5.83% to about ₹6.92 trillion. Securities transaction tax surged 52% to ₹46,840 crore, while refunds rose 24.22% to ₹2.65 trillion. Gross direct tax collection reached ₹16.03 trillion.

ITAT Cancels Rs 9.04L Tax Notice on LIC Leave Encashment
