Nana Patekar’s Lifelong Bond with Indian Army from Prahaar to Kargil

Nana Patekar shared a unique lifelong connection with the Indian Army, especially through Belagavi’s Junior Leaders Wing (JLW) near the Maratha Light Infantry Regimental Centre. Before directing the 1991 film Prahaar, he trained with Indian Army commandos at JLW, portraying Major Chauhan in the movie. Former officers, including General V K Singh, praised his physical and mental toughness during filming. Patekar passed away in Goa at 75.
