SportsNana Patekar Became National-Level Shooter, Won Medals in 50s
Nana Patekar, a National Award-winning actor, became a professional rifle shooter in his 40s. Starting around age 49, he competed in state and national shooting competitions, specializing in 50m rifle prone and 300m big-bore events. His training included sessions at Balewadi and Mhow ranges, aided by his prior army training for the film Prahaar. In 2004, he won a silver medal in the 300m big-bore event at the National Championships.
