Dr. Prasanna Kumar T from Ramaiah Memorial Hospital, Bengaluru, states that well-fitted N95 masks reduce outdoor exposure to harmful particles, and air purifiers improve indoor air quality. However, indoor plants provide minimal protection against severe pollution. Cloth and surgical masks are largely ineffective against fine particulate matter due to gaps and porous material.
