Muthoot Finance Q2 Profit Rises 36% to ₹3,278 Crore on Gold Loan Growth

Muthoot Finance reported a 36% year-on-year rise in consolidated profit after tax to ₹3,278 crore in Q2 FY27, driven by growth in its gold loan portfolio. Consolidated total income increased 37% to ₹10,011 crore, and interest income rose 39% to ₹9,856 crore. Loan assets under management grew 42% to ₹2.09 trillion. Standalone profit rose 27% to ₹2,977 crore, with gold loan AUM up 43% to ₹1.79 trillion. Impairment on financial instruments increased to ₹515 crore from ₹95 crore.

FBI Blames North Korea for $6.3 Billion Binance Hack

The FBI has attributed the $6.3 billion cryptocurrency theft from Binance to North Korea's state-backed hacking group TraderTraitor.
