Muskegon Lake Removed from EPA's Areas of Concern List
Muskegon Lake in Michigan has been officially removed from the EPA's Areas of Concern list after decades of restoration efforts. Approximately 347,350 tons of debris and 190,000 tons of contaminated soil were removed. With around $80 million invested, wetland habitats have been revitalized, supporting thriving fish and wildlife communities, marking a significant environmental milestone.
