Muskaan and Sahil Appeal Death Sentence in Meerut Murder Case

Muskaan Rastogi and Sahil Shukla, sentenced to death in the high-profile Meerut Blue Drum murder case, have appealed to the Allahabad High Court challenging the district court's verdict. The district court convicted them on September 30, 2026, and sentenced them to death on October 14, 2026, for the murder of Merchant Navy personnel Saurabh Rajput in March 2025. They also challenge their conviction, not just the death penalty. The trial lasted about 13 months with 126 hearings and 22 prosecution witnesses.
