Maharashtra Highway Police announced permanent traffic restrictions on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway connecting link from November 1. All goods vehicles, including small commercial vehicles, pickups, and Tata Ace, are banned. Vehicles carrying flammable or hazardous materials are also prohibited. Private cars, jeeps, light vehicles, and passenger buses can use the link with speed limits of 100 km/h for cars and 80 km/h for buses. Separately, Minister Meghna Sakore-Bordikar instructed officials to strictly prevent forced loan recovery by private lenders and microfinance institutions, ensuring RBI guidelines are followed.
