Mumbai local trains resume after 10-hour disruption from Kanjurmarg fire

Mumbai local train services on all four suburban lines were restored Monday morning after nearly 10 hours of disruption caused by a fire in the signalling and telecommunications relay room at Kanjurmarg station. The fire, which started around 9:33 AM, caused signals between Vikhroli and Bhandup to fail. Central Railway worked urgently to resume normal operations and also fixed an overhead wire issue between Mulund and Thane by 10:40 AM.
