The redevelopment of Terminal 1 at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport will begin soon, focusing on the North Section of Terminal-1B. Operated by Adani Airport Holdings Limited, the project addresses safety concerns of the 60-year-old building. About 9% of the airport’s 55 million annual passengers will be temporarily affected, with airlines offered relocation options to Navi Mumbai International Airport to minimize disruption.
