MSMEs Demand Better Electricity Infrastructure in Coimbatore District

The Tamil Nadu Association of Cottage and Tiny Enterprises, representing micro industries in Coimbatore, has urged Tamil Nadu Power Distribution Corporation Limited to enhance electricity infrastructure. They requested dedicated 11 kV/22 kV power lines connected to all 110 kV substations to reduce summer outages. They also called for new high-capacity transformers and interconnected power lines for flexible routing and uninterrupted supply during faults.

ICE Removes Guyanese Immigrant Kanand Ojha Over 2015 Murder

US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) removed 45-year-old Kanand Ojha, wanted in Guyana for the 2015 murder of Nephi Noel in Georgetown. Ojha was arrested in Queens on September 8, 2025, after entering the US legally in July 2015 but losing his immigration status due to an outstanding warrant. He was deported on September 18, 2025. An alleged accomplice was sentenced to 20 years in 2017.
