The Madhya Pradesh High Court struck down the 2019 law increasing OBC reservation from 14% to 27%, ruling it unconstitutional for breaching the 50% reservation ceiling without extraordinary conditions. The Division Bench of Justices Anand Pathak and Vinay Saraf ordered the state to fill 13% reserved posts with unreserved candidates within three months.
