MP High Court Grants Relief in Date of Birth Dispute of Mahakumbh Woman

The Madhya Pradesh High Court's Indore bench quashed the Chief Municipal Officer's order that altered a young woman's date of birth. The woman gained attention during the 2025 Mahakumbh in Prayagraj. The court directed the CMO of Maheshwar town, Khargone district, to reconsider the application filed by the woman's father for changing her date of birth, ensuring the woman is heard. Justice Gajendra Singh noted the woman was not informed or given a chance to respond, violating natural justice.
