Microsoft has pulled out of a major data centre deal with British AI firm Nscale due to delays in securing power supply. The planned facility in Loughton, Essex, was set to open next year but electricity grid operators say sufficient power may not be available until the 2030s. Microsoft had planned to lease 23,000 Nvidia AI chips and be the anchor tenant. Nscale is also considering a US stock market listing valued up to $35 billion.
