Meta reported removing 5.3 million pieces of child sexual exploitation content on Facebook and Instagram in India from January to June 2024. Over 98% of this content was detected proactively. Globally, Meta acted on 33.2 million such items in the same period. The company also enhanced AI tools to detect ads that deceptively link to illegal material off-platform and disabled related accounts and links.
