Meta and Zuckerberg Agree to Keep Him in California Amid Wealth Tax Concerns
Meta Platforms has reached an agreement with CEO Mark Zuckerberg to keep him residing in California despite his earlier consideration to leave due to a proposed wealth tax. Under the deal, Zuckerberg will receive non-voting shares to cover potential multi-billion-dollar tax liabilities if Proposition 40 passes. He commits to remain a resident of California or wherever Meta's headquarters are for eight years.
