Meta and Fourier Develop Humanoid Robot 'Max' for AI Interaction

Meta partnered with Chinese robotics startup Fourier to create a humanoid robot prototype named Max in three months. Max weighs 48 kilos, stands about five feet tall, and features five-fingered hands, speakers, and a screen that mimics facial expressions. It can recognize voices from five meters, interpret gestures from three meters, maintain eye contact, and signal its communication state. Meta envisions Max as a physical form for its AI agent, Muse.
