MeitY Forms Team to Probe eMudhra Security Incident

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has formed a special team to investigate a security breach involving Indian certification authority eMudhra. The incident mainly affected eMudhra's global certificate business but did not impact its Indian Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) and eSign services. CERT-In reported that private keys linked to eight intermediate certificates, including six TLS and two code-signing certificates, were compromised.
