A massive flood struck Nepal's central region after a landslide in Chumnubri village, Gorkha district, blocked the Budhi Gandaki River. The flood swept away houses, two suspension bridges, and damaged a hydroelectric project. Authorities urged villagers downstream in Gorkha, Tanahun, Chitwan, and Nawalparasi districts to evacuate. No casualties have been reported so far. This follows a previous glacier collapse flood that killed over 1,400 people.
