On Friday, thousands across Manipur's five valley districts participated in a 30-minute 'sound protest' from 7:30 pm to 8 pm, banging steel plates, kitchen utensils, beating drums, striking electric poles, and honking horns. Organized by the Federation of Haomee, the protest expressed anger over the ongoing crisis and the recent killing of three Meitei men in Kangpokpi district. The protest used sound as a cultural and powerful form of expression.
