Manipur’s CoTU suspends shutdown for 7 days after Kuki youths' killing

The Committee on Tribal Unity (CoTU) in Manipur's Kangpokpi district has suspended its ongoing shutdown for seven days to allow the state government time to address demands related to the abduction and killing of two Kuki youths. The youths were abducted on October 28 and found mutilated on November 1. CoTU warned it will resume and intensify the shutdown if demands are unmet, and will not accept the bodies until demands are fulfilled.
