Manipur CM Says Lasting Peace Impossible While Gun Culture Persists

Manipur Chief Minister Y. Khemchand Singh stated on October 25, 2026, that the state cannot achieve lasting peace as long as the gun culture exists. He urged people to surrender illegal arms during his visit to Sinai Camp, a designated camp for militants under the Suspension of Operations agreement in Kangpokpi district. Moscow to Host 2030 World Weightlifting Championships

Moscow will host the 2030 World Weightlifting Championships, the first major Olympic sports event awarded to Russia since its 2022 invasion of Ukraine, the International Weightlifting Federation announced.
