BusinessManipal's UNext Thrives Amid India's Edtech Downturn
India's edtech sector has faced major setbacks with Byju's insolvency and Unacademy's sale to upGrad at a steep loss. In contrast, Manipal's UNext Learning, founded by Ambrish Sinha within Manipal Education and Medical Group, has taken a disciplined approach. Launched in 2021, UNext is EBITDA-positive in enterprise training and expects consolidated break-even by March 2027. It has over 125,000 monthly active learners and reported Rs 925 crore gross bookings by March 2026.
