Mandya district received two honours at the Kaushalya Karnataka-2026 Awards. The Bank of Baroda Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI) was named the best-performing institute in Mysuru division for training 1,037 candidates in 2025-26, exceeding its target. It helped 920 candidates start self-employment or wage jobs, with 653 receiving bank loans. The Arasamma Women’s Self-Help Group was recognized for its successful women-led enterprise.

BW ESS Acquires 800 MWh Battery Storage Portfolio in France

BW ESS has acquired two standalone battery energy storage projects totaling 200 MW/800 MWh in France from Recurrent Energy, a Canadian Solar subsidiary. This marks BW ESS's entry into the French energy market. The portfolio includes the 100 MW/400 MWh Baixas project in Pyrénées-Orientales and the 100 MW/400 MWh Coquainvilliers project in Calvados.
