Man with 14 Criminal Cases Detained Under PD Act Again in Hyderabad

The Cyberabad police have detained Nagaraju Raghu Varma, a 29-year-old alleged property offender involved in 14 criminal cases since 2017, under the Preventive Detention Act for the third time. Varma, originally from West Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh, migrated to Hyderabad and engaged in crimes including cheating, kidnapping, robbery, and extortion. He impersonated a police officer to extort money and threatened victims with firearms. He is now lodged in Central Prison, Cherlapalli, Medchal district.
