Man sentenced to life for murder over mobile dispute in Mangaluru

A 50-year-old man, Dharmaraj Suvarna, was sentenced to life imprisonment by the Second Additional District and Sessions Court in Mangaluru for murdering Muthu Basavaraj Waddar over a mobile phone dispute. The incident occurred on September 21, 2024, near Bobbarya Daivasthana at Thota Bengre. Suvarna assaulted the victim with a wooden club after a dispute over a damaged mobile phone. A fine of Rs 15,000 was also imposed.

Delhi University Plans Rs 8,000 Crore Hostels for 30,000+ Students

Delhi University is planning an Rs 8,000-crore project to build new hostels and redevelop existing ones to accommodate over 30,000 students.
