Bank Negara Malaysia has launched SSDS+, a distributed ledger technology platform for issuing, depositing, and safeguarding tokenised bonds and Islamic sukuk. Integrated with the RENTAS+ settlement system, it allows securities transactions and payments around the clock using central bank money. The platform targets wholesale markets and may support tokenisation of government securities and corporate bonds.
