MakeO Raises ₹90 Crore to Expand Dental Care in India and Southeast Asia

MakeO, parent company of Toothsi, raised ₹90 crore led by Singularity AMC with DSP family office, Genesis, and Unispace Ventures. The funding supports MakeO's mission to build a leading dental technology platform across India and Southeast Asia. Following its acquisition of Singapore-based Zenyum and Apple Dental clinics in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, MakeO now partners with 1,100 dentists in 10 countries. CEO Dr Arpi Mehta said the capital will boost offline expansion and platform development.

Bengaluru Student Drowns in Hesaraghatta Lake

A 20-year-old BCA student named Harshashekhar drowned in Hesaraghatta Lake while swimming with friends in Bengaluru. He had told his family he was attending a Ganesha festival event but went to the lake with six friends. Unable to swim, he began drowning around 3 pm. His body was recovered by divers the next day and sent for post-mortem. Police registered an unnatural death case.
