HealthMaharashtra FDA Suspends Licences of 30 Food Outlets Including Kyani Cafe
The Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration suspended licences of 30 food establishments and seized over 50,601 kg of food worth ₹1.19 crore during a statewide crackdown from September 23 to 27. Violations were found in Mumbai, Konkan, Pune, and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar divisions. Notably, Mumbai's 120-year-old Kyani & Co cafe and Royal China faced action for serious hygiene breaches, including rat droppings, lizards, and blood in food areas.
